Docs/Invoices

Invoices

Create, send, and track invoices with status-based workflows.

Open Invoices#

  1. Open the Finance dropdown in the sidebar
  2. Click Invoices

Invoice List#

The invoices page shows all invoices with status filters at the top.

Filter by Status#

  • All — Show every invoice
  • Draft — Created but not sent
  • Sent — Sent to the client
  • Paid — Payment received
  • Overdue — Past due date, unpaid
  • Cancelled — Voided

Click a status tab to filter the list.

Create an Invoice#

  1. Click New Invoice (or navigate to /business/invoices/new)
  2. Fill in the invoice form:
    • Client — Select from your client list
    • Line Items — Add items with description, quantity, unit price
    • Due Date
    • Notes (optional)
  3. Click Create as Draft or Send Immediately

Update Invoice Status#

Change an invoice's status to track its lifecycle:

  • Draft → Sent — You send the invoice to the client
  • Sent → Paid — Client pays the invoice
  • Sent → Overdue — Past due date without payment
  • Any → Cancelled — You void the invoice

Status can be updated from the invoice detail view or the list.

Edit an Invoice#

  1. Click an invoice in the list
  2. Modify any field
  3. Only Draft invoices can be edited

Delete an Invoice#

  1. Click the delete action on an invoice
  2. Confirm the deletion
  3. Only Draft or Cancelled invoices can be deleted

Permissions#

Invoice access depends on your role:

  • create — Create new invoices
  • read — View invoice list and details
  • update — Edit draft invoices
  • delete — Remove invoices
  • approve — Approve invoice status changes
  • export — Export invoice data
