Files

Upload, organize, and share documents in a folder-based file browser. Changes sync in real-time across all workspace members.

Open Files#

Click Files in the sidebar.

Browse Files#

The file browser shows:

  • Breadcrumb navigation at the top — Click any segment to navigate up
  • Folder contents — Files and subfolders in the current directory
  • Folder tree (in client access mode) — Expandable folder sidebar

Upload Files#

  1. Navigate to the target folder
  2. Drag and drop files from your computer onto the file browser, OR
  3. Click the Upload button and select files
  4. Files upload and appear immediately

Create Folders#

  1. Click the New Folder button
  2. Enter a folder name
  3. The folder appears in the current directory

Organize Files#

  • Drag and drop files into folders to move them
  • Rename files and folders from the context menu
  • Delete files and folders (moves to trash or permanent)

Real-Time Sync#

All file operations sync instantly:

  • New uploads appear for all members immediately
  • Folder creation and renames propagate in real-time
  • Deletions remove files from everyone's view

No page refresh needed.

File Previews#

Click a file to open a preview (for supported file types):

  • Images display inline
  • Documents show a preview viewer
  • Unsupported files show file info and download option

Permissions#

File access depends on your role's permissions:

  • Create — Upload files and create folders
  • Read — Browse and download files
  • Update — Rename and move files
  • Delete — Remove files and folders
  • Export — Download files

Client Access#

Users invited as clients see a restricted file browser:

  • Only shared folders are visible
  • Folder tree sidebar replaces the full browser
  • No access to workspace-level files
